DO YOU KNOW?

Websites are
emitting CO2

An average website produces 4.61 grams of CO2 for every page view. For websites that have an average of 10,000 page views per month, that makes 55 kilograms of CO2 per year.

We are here to help you and the environment to reduce this amount and reach a Carbon Neutral website

By using this website carbon calculator, you agree to the information that you submit being stored and published in our public database.

Why this is important?

Every day about 4.6 billion people use the Internet. According to a 2018 study, the use of the Internet in 2025 will consume 20% (!) of all generated electricity and the IT industry will then be responsible for 5.5 % of global CO2 emissions.

Net zero is the internationally agreed upon goal for mitigating global warming in the second half of the century. The IPCC concluded the need for net zero CO2 by 2050 to remain consistent with 1,5 Celsius. So, the purpose of this site is to inform effective climate action that is net zero aligned in order to advance progress towards this goal.
